Stephen Pearson, a Scottish born midfielder, primarily played in a central role in his football career. Born on the 2nd of October, 1982, he stands 6ft tall (1.85m) and carries a weight of 11st (70kg). Pearson started his professional career with Motherwell as a trainee in July 1999. He had an impressive debut season in 2000/2001 where he scored six first team appearances in league matches. Over the following years, his prominence grew in the team by scoring 27 and then 29 appearances in the next couple of seasons. His goalscoring ability also improved with the passing years.
In January 2004, Pearson made a move to Celtic for around £350k. The time period 2003-2007 marked Pearson's tenure at Celtic where he made regular appearances and contributed to the team's goal tally. Pearson also had a brief spell at Stoke City on loan for the 2007 - 2008 season, making four appearances.
Pearson was loaned out to Bristol City in November 2011. Where he managed 28 appearances and three goals in his inaugural season there. His performance allowed him to remain key to Bristol's lineup, securing 36 appearances and three goals for the 2012 - 2013 season and continued to showcase his abilities in the following seasons, scoring a handful of goals.
Pearson transferred to Kerala Blasters FC in the Super League in India in September 2014 before returning to his old club, Motherwell, in the Premiership in Scotland in January 2015. His second spell at Motherwell lasted till July 2016, where he continued his steady performances and added more goals to his tally. Following a brief stint at Atlético de Kolkata in the Super League in India, he once again found himself back at Motherwell in February 2017, where he continued to provide consistent performances.
