Thomas Müller, born on 13 September 1989 (age 36), is a German striker now with Vancouver Whitecaps, where he wears number 13. His current market value is around £3.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His career is overwhelmingly shaped by Bayern Munich. Across 17 seasons there, Müller made 503 league appearances and scored 149 league goals, a level of service and output that leaves little room for anyone else to claim much of the story. His strongest league return came in 2015-16, when he scored 20 goals in 31 appearances.
Vancouver is the later chapter rather than the main body of work. He has made 12 MLS appearances, scoring four goals, and added one goal in five MLS Cup Play Offs matches, giving him 17 appearances and five goals across all competitions for the Whitecaps.
Müller’s career has been built on long service and steady production at Bayern, followed by a move to Vancouver in its closing stretch. The balance of it is not especially complicated.
