From the cold expanses of Finland, Topi Keskinen emerged, born on 7 March 2003, aged 22 presently. A lithe forward with a penchant for creating mayhem on the left wing, Keskinen currently energises the pitch for Aberdeen. He stands at 5ft 10in tall, or 1.8m for those more at home with the metric system. His weight comes in at 11st 4lb, or around 72kg, with his number 81 jersey waiting for him on the pitch. On the international stage, Keskinen also adds his talents to the Finland national team.
No small fish in the sea of footballers, his current market value hovers at around £1.4m, according to Transfermarkt.
Keskinen's story in the beautiful game began in earnest at Mikkelin Palloilijat, a team in the Finnish Kakkonen. From there, in January 2023, he transferred to HJK in the upper-tier Veikkausliiga, where he lit up the pitch with 25 first team appearances and two goals in his debut season. His ensuing season further impressed, with 17 appearances yielding seven goals.
Moving from the chill of Finland to the brisk winds of Scotland, Keskinen transferred to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership in August 2024, for a sum of around £860k. In his Bhoys' debut season, he made 36 first team appearances and found the back of the net five times. The current season, 2025 - 2026, has seen him already clock up 27 appearances, with three goals to his name.
On the cup front, Keskinen has also had his fair share of the action. He's taken the field in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 for Aberdeen, both as a starter and substitute, and the Scottish Cup 2025 - 2026, where he has had two starting appearances. His international portfolio extends to the UEFA U21 Qualifiers in 2025, with two successful goals over three starts, while also participating in the Europa League Qualifiers 2025 - 2026 for Aberdeen with two starts, and the Conference League 2025 - 2026 for Aberdeen with four starts and a substitute appearance.
