Byskov plunged into his professional football journey as a trainee with FC Midtjylland in July 2020. His debut season, 2022-2023, saw him making a modest five appearances in league matches. However, the 2024-2025 season saw Byskov establish himself in earnest, where he made 22 first team appearances and scored two goals in league matches. The current season, 2025-2026, is not even halfway through and he has already made 13 appearances, scoring three goals and demonstrating his growing prowess on the field.
In August 2023, he briefly stepped away from Midtjylland, loaned out to Mafra in Portugal's secondary league, the Segunda Divisão. After gaining some fresh perspectives overseas, he returned to his home team in January 2024.
Beyond domestic league play, Byskov experienced the heightened pace of international competition, taking part in the Europa League Qualifiers for the 2025-2026 season. He was on the starting lineup twice, and was a substitute in four other matches. Specifically noteworthy was his essential contribution in the Europa League during the same season; in a total of three appearances, Byskov scored one goal to bolster FC Midtjylland's performance.
