Vangelis Pavlidis, born on 21 November 1998 (age 27), is a Greece international striker with Benfica, where he wears the No 14 shirt. His career has been built on fairly simple terms: movement, penalty-box work and a steady habit of turning chances into goals.
His most productive league season came with AZ in 2023–24, when he scored 29 goals in 34 appearances. That was not a modest return dressed up as form; it was the sort of season that makes a striker difficult to ignore.
At Benfica in 2026–27, Pavlidis remains a regular first-team presence. He has scored eight goals in seven Liga Portugal appearances, and his wider club return stands at 14 goals in 13 appearances across all competitions, including six in Europa League qualifying.
He has also stayed involved with Greece, with five World Cup qualifying appearances and one goal, along with four Nations League appearances this season. Pavlidis is not a developing prospect now, but an established forward still carrying a clear scoring load for club and country.
