Willie Lyon

Celtic hero Willie Lyon was born in Birkenhead on 7 March 1912. He passed away on 5 December 1962, aged 50.

Willie Lyon was a professional footballer, who played for Celtic and Queens Park. He was a Centre-half and was made captain of Celtic. He won the Scottish league championship in 1936 and 1938 and the Scottish Cup in 1937.
