Xavi Simons, born on 21 April 2003 (age 23), is a Netherlands international and a compact 5ft 6in (1.67m) attacking midfielder now with Tottenham Hotspur. He wears the number 7 shirt and is valued at around £68m by Transfermarkt, which tells its own story about the market around him, if not always the full football one.
His most productive league campaign came at PSV in 2022-23, when he scored 19 goals in 34 appearances. That season remains the clearest statistical marker of his attacking output: sharp movement, end product, and enough regular influence to push him well beyond the category of neat young technician.
At Tottenham in 2025-26, Simons has remained a regular first-team presence. He has made 28 Premier League appearances, scoring twice, alongside one FA Cup appearance, two in the League Cup and 10 in the Champions League, where he has added three goals. Across all competitions for Spurs, he has 41 appearances and five goals.
Simons is still a developing player in career terms, but he is already operating as an established senior footballer. His path so far runs from a standout scoring season in the Netherlands to a regular role in England, with Tottenham continuing to give him serious minutes in domestic and European football.
