Born on the 14th of December 1998, Yan Dhanda is a formidable force in the midfield. Standing five feet eight inches tall, and weighing a solid ten stone three pounds, he serves mainly as a central attacking midfielder for Dundee.
English-born Dhanda is a talent to consider, donning a number 21 jersey and with an estimated market value of around £600k, according to Transfermarkt.
His transition into professional football began in earnest in July 2018, when he transferred from the Premier League team Liverpool to Swansea City, housed in the Championship. In his inaugural season of 2018-2019 at Swansea City, Dhanda made his mark on the first team, making five appearances and scoring one goal.
By the 2019-2020 season, he had cemented his place, leading to sixteen first team appearances in league matches with the admirable tally of three goals. In the 2020-2021 season at Swansea, he tallied 26 first team appearances and scored one goal. However, in the next season of 2021-2022 at Swansea, his field presence was limited to just three first team appearances.
A new chapter in Dhanda's career opened in July 2022, resulting in a transfer from Swansea City in the Championship to Ross County in the Scottish Championship. Thereafter, in July 2024, he made a switch from Ross County to Hearts in the Scottish Premiership. In the 2024-2025 season at Hearts, he made a considerable number of appearances, however, the goal score for this period is not disclosed.
Following this, in August 2025, his journey to Dundee began on loan from Hearts in the Premiership. At present, in the 2025-2026 season at Dundee, Dhanda has represented the team in nine first team league matches.
