Yaser Asprilla was born on 19 November 2003 in Colombia. At 22 years of age, Asprilla, stands 5ft 9in tall (1.76m) and weighs 11st 11lb (75kg). Nowadays, he makes use of his football talent playing forward, primarily as a right winger for Galatasaray. Additionally, he's made considerable contributions to the Colombia national team.

Asprilla's journey in professional football began with his joining of Envigado in the Primera A in Colombia as a trainee in January 2020. His debut season saw him making a humble two first team appearances in league matches. The following season at Envigado evidenced his burgeoning prowess, managing 20 first team appearances and scribing 5 goals into his name.
In January 2022, Asprilla was transferred from Envigado to Watford in the Championship in England for a fee around £2.7m. His tenure between 2022 and 2024 proved fruitful with 81 first team appearances and 7 goals scored in league matches.
Whilst with Watford, Asprilla was loaned back to Envigado in the Primera A in Colombia in February 2022. He had a fruitful period with his initial club, seeing him make a total of 22 appearances and scoring 5 goals across two seasons. He returned to Watford in July 2022.
In August 2024, a new chapter began as Asprilla transferred from Watford to Girona in the LaLiga in Spain under an undisclosed fee. He made waves with 27 first team appearances and scoring three goals in the 2024-2025 season. In the current season, 2025-2026, he has made 15 more appearances.
January 2026 saw Asprilla moving on loan from Girona to Galatasaray in the Süper Lig in Turkey. Currently, in the 2025-2026 season, he has a single first team appearance to his record.
