Zaid Romero, born on 15 December 1999 (age 26), is an Argentine central defender with Club Brugge. At 6ft 5in (1.95m), he is an imposing presence, which is not exactly a drawback in his line of work.
His clearest senior platform came at Estudiantes de La Plata, where his 2023 league season brought 22 appearances and one goal. That was his most productive league campaign in scoring terms, though his role has plainly been built more around defending than decoration.
Romero later moved into European football with Club Brugge. His 2025-26 season was split between Brugge and Getafe: he made one league appearance for the Belgian club, then 15 league appearances and one goal for Getafe, before adding another league appearance for Brugge.
His career to date has been that of a tall Argentine centre-half working his way through senior football, from Estudiantes to Club Brugge, with a spell in Spain at Getafe along the way.
