Meet Aiden McCallion, a Scottish lad who turned 17 on the 15th of June 2008. Born and bred in the same land that encapsulates our beloved Celtic, McCallion has however chosen a slightly different football path. Now, before you raise your eyebrows, this is not about the Old Firm controversy, that whole saga was before the lad's time, we're strictly speaking of the pre-2013 era.
McCallion is known to spend his time frolicking around the midfield, primarily as a central midfielder. An oddity indeed, considering he has plumped for playing for Rangers. The wee lad stands at roughly 5ft 10in (1.8m) and weighs in at about 11 stone (70kg). You would think he'd be dwarfed amongst the giant footballers of today, but the little tyke manages quite well.
A rather interesting fact about our Scottish friend is his jersey number. While some footballers pine over single digits, McCallion seems to be quite content with the number 64. It does raise a question about his taste and sensibility, but that's a pondering for another day. For now, let's wish the lad a fair journey up the ranks, even if it is with Rangers. Hopefully, one day, he'll realise the error in his ways and trot over to our side of the fence.
