Meet Dujon Sterling, born in the mediocre year of 1999 on the 24th of October. Currently edging towards the legacy age of 27, Sterling is an English defender who spends most of his precious time in the right-back position, plying his trade for Rangers. A not-so-insignificant detail to keep in mind is that he is 6ft 1in (1.86m) tall, the perfect height to bang your head on a low-hanging doorway. As for the weight, he clocks in at the oh-so-respectable 12st 10lb (81kg). Clearly, the chap likes his chips. Do remember him as player number 21 if you're ever playing football bingo.
Ah, the year 2015. Dishwashers were bought, hearts were broken, and our Dujon Sterling joined attached his destiny to the glitz and glamour of Chelsea - the Premier League, no less, as only a trainee.
Fast-forward a few years, specifically to July 2018, and Sterling was darting off on loan to Coventry City; they say change is as good as a rest. As you might have guessed, Coventry City plays in the Championship in England. Amusingly, England seems to have a Championship in every county.
Off on his travels again in August 2019, this time to Wigan Athletic, another English footballing hub where, coincidentally, nobody seems to play cricket. During his maiden season in League One with Wigan Athletic (2019-2020), Sterling graced the pitch eight times in league matches. I know, impressive, right?
In the spirit of never settling, come August 2021, Sterling found himself on loan at Blackpool. Despite the name, there isn't a pool, and it's not black.. Misleading, isn't it? However, he did take to the field in his number 21 shirt 24 times in league matches in the 2021-2022 season.
September 2022 marked another addition to Sterling's itinerary, Stoke City, another charm in the Championship necklace. Over the course of the 2022-2023 season, Sterling made 26 appearances for them in league matches. Seeing a pattern, are we?
In July 2023, Sterling arrived at Rangers. Yes, the Rangers up north in the Scottish Premiership, where he continues his grand footballing odyssey. His record since joining isn't too shabby either; 24 first team appearances in the 2023-2024 season, 20 in the 2024-2025, and as yet, clocking zero in the current season of 2025-2026.
He's even had a chance to flaunt his skills on a bigger stage, representing Rangers in the Europa League in the 2023-2024 season, securing one goal from one start and two substitute appearances. Not exactly mind-boggling, but let's be generous and say, he's having a good time.
