Jamie Smith, born on 8 May 2002, is a 23-year-old goalkeeper who hails from Scotland. He holds his guard for Livingston, where he impeccably dons the number 32 jersey. Standing at an imposing 6ft 4in (1.94m) tall and tipping the scales at 12st 8lb (80kg), his presence between the posts is formidable.
Smith's journey to professional football began in earnest in July 2018 when he joined Hamilton Academical as a trainee. Hamilton play in League One, providing a competitive environment in which Smith could nurture his goalkeeping skills. During his debut season (2020 - 2021) at Hamilton Academical, he made one first team appearance in league matches and followed this up with three first team appearances in the 2022 - 2023 season.
In August 2021, he took steps to further advance his career by heading out on loan to Broomhill, a team in Scotland's Lowland League. However, his time at Broomhill was short and come December 2021, Smith returned to Hamilton Academical following the completion of his loan. In his two full seasons back at Hamilton, Smith made sporadic appearances, standing tall between the sticks in league matches.
A loan move once again beckoned in July 2024, this time to Annan Athletic, a League Two outfit in Scotland. After a year, he made his return to Hamilton Academical in June 2025. Despite the experience gained, his appearances in the first team remained scarce.
In January 2026, the call of the top-flight became too hard to resist. Smith transferred from Hamilton Academical to Livingston, a Premiership club in Scotland, for an undisclosed fee. However, the current season of 2025 - 2026 at Livingston has yet to see Smith make his first team league appearance, a milestone eagerly awaited by the files of those familiar with the fortress he establishes in goal.
