Jordan White, born on 4 February 1992, is a burly forward who currently knocks his pans in for Ross County. The lad is a powerful presence on the pitch, standing tall at 6ft 3in (1.91m) and weighing in 13st (83kg). White dons the jersey number 26 and uses his height and weight in ways that makes defenders quiver in their boots.
The Scottish striker, now at the ripe age of 32, has a current market value of around £250k as per what I found on Transfermarkt. His deal with Ross County will cease to be in existence on 31 May 2025 with there being only 6 months left to run.
His journey in professional football initiated when he stepped into the Clyde squad from Dunfermline Athletic in September 2009. He clocked in quite a run, netting four goals in twenty matches in his first stint with Clyde.
Moving like a nomad, White then switched to Dumbarton in March 2011 and onwards to Dunfermline Athletic, then to Drogheda United where he scored one goal in eleven appearances.
Never one to settle, White then returned to Clyde in December of the same year, totalling six starts and a goal in his second spell there. January of 2012 would then find him at Falkirk, where he failed to shine as brightly, making only 13 appearances across two seasons.
The following two years found him at Stirling Albion, where he started rebuilding his reputation as a potent striker, netting 28 times in 65 appearances. This good run of form earned him a move to Livingston in the Scottish Championship in July 2014. Over two seasons, White would strike 21 times for them in 69 appearances.
His journey then led him south of the border to Wrexham in the English League One, where he struck seven goals in twenty-four appearances, then onto Barrow in League Two where he made scored six goals in 27 appearances.
In July 2018, a move to Inverness CT in Scotland followed, then to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership two years later. His stint at Motherwell, while short, saw him make 18 appearances.
This received the attention of Ross County, to whom he transferred in January 2021. In his time at Ross County so far, spanning from the 2020 season through to the current 2024-2025 season, White has made an impressive 141 appearances, scoring 27 goals in the process.
Throughout his Ross County career, he has also been active in the League Cup and Premier Play-offs, scoring four goals in four starts in the 2024-2025 Cup. In the 2023-2024 Scottish Cup, he made one substitute appearance, and scored one goal from two starts in the Premier Play-offs the same year.
While not a man of many clubs like some, Jordan White can certainly be considered a journeyman of the Scottish game. His physicality combined with his knack for goals certainly has him set apart.
