Oliver Antman, a bloke of meagre stature hailing from Finland, is a bloke giving the old boot about the pitch primarily as a right winger for Rangers. He graced this universe on 15 August 2001, and as the calendar would have it, at the ripe age of 24. Standing tall and proper at 6 feet (if you're one to harken back to the Imperial times) or 1.85m (for the metrically inclined), he carries 11st 6lb (or 73kg) upon his frame.
Oh, and lest I forget, he also decided that the number 18 jersey was to his particular taste. Not that anyone assigned it to him or anything. And in those brief moments when he isn't painting a fine picture for his club, he does give his legs a bit of a run for the Finland national team. How about that?
You may find it interesting that this lad, according to some chaps at Transfermarkt, might fetch around £4m in the modern soccer market. A princely sum? That's for you to decide.
Antman's football career tells an itinerant tale. It all started in August 2018 when he moved from IF Gnistan to FC Nordsjaelland for a humble fee of £45k. At FC Nordsjaelland, Antman had his ups and downs, but managed to pull a total of 17 goals from his boot across six seasons.
Interestingly enough, January 2023 found Mr. Antman journeying from FC Nordsjaelland to FC Groningen on loan. I suppose the lad just needed a change of scenery. After a few notable appearances and a brace of goals, Antman bid farewell to the Netherlands and headed back to FC Nordsjaelland.
In an absolutely unforeseen turn of events, Antman was back on the move in August 2024. This time, the lad decided to give Dutch football another roll, joining Go Ahead Eagles for a sum of only £1.5m. Not too bad for a year's work, eh?
However, Finland's finest export since Nokia, was not long for the Eredivisie. In August 2025, he packed his cleats, said cheerio to the Netherlands, and headed to Scotland. That's right folks, Oliver Antman, for a whopping sum of £3m, is currently prancing about the pitch for none other than Rangers.
Whilst current season has seen him making a modest ten appearances for Rangers, Antman'syet to make a major mark. However, one must not undermine his participation in various tournaments ranging from Club to International level, ticking off appearances in the League Cup, World Cup Qualifiers and Nations League to mention a few.
All in all, one can only hope that Mr. Antman's tale will continue to be as enchanting as the start.
