Tony Watt, born in Scotland on 29 December 1993, is a forward striker for Partick Thistle. He stands at a height of 5ft 11in (1.82m) and weighs 13st 12lb (88kg). At present, he dons the number 32 jersey. Transfermarkt places his current market value at around £130k.
In July 2010, Watt commenced his professional football career with Airdrieonians in the Championship in Scotland. He racked up three goals in 15 first team appearances during his inaugural season 2010-2011. By January 2011, Watt translocated from Airdrieonians to Celtic, with his transfer costing around £100k. He began to make his mark at Celtic with 20 appearances and five goals during the 2012-2013 season, and another two appearances in the 2013-2014 season.
In August 2013, Watt ventured beyond Scottish borders when he moved to Lierse SK in Belgium. The loan agreement lasted for one season, during which he performed favourably with eight goals in 17 appearances. Thereafter, Watt transferred permanently from Celtic to Standard Liege in Belgium in July 2014 for around £1.2m. His tenure at Standard Liege was brief, however, as Watt moved to Charlton Athletic in England in January 2015.
During his time at Charlton Athletic in England, Watt made an assortment of temporary moves, featuring stints at Cardiff City, Blackburn Rovers and Hearts, all of which were on loan. In July 2016, Watt travelled back to Scotland to play for Hearts in the Premiership on loan. He made 16 first team appearances and scored one goal in league matches.
Eventually, Watt left England permanently when he joined Oud-Heverlee Leuven in Belgium. Subsequent to Oud-Heverlee Leuven, Watt played for St Johnstone, CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria, before playing for Motherwell, Dundee United, St Mirren and finally Partick Thistle where he now plays. Throughout these years, Watt featured in several seasons with varying success in terms of appearances and goals.
In his latest undertaking with Partick Thistle, so far in the 2025-2026 season, Watt has participated in 29 first team appearances and has nurtured five goals in league matches. Additionally, in the League Cup 2025-2026 for Partick Thistle, he churned a goal from four starts and two substitute appearances, while in the Scottish Cup 2025-2026, he reaped three goals from three starts.
