Tyrell Malacia, born on 17 August 1999 (age 26), is a compact Dutch left-back at 5ft 7in (1.69m), now with Manchester United. His career, though, is still shaped most clearly by Feyenoord, where he became a first-team player and made 98 league appearances across five seasons.
At Feyenoord he was not a bit-part youngster drifting around the edges. He played regularly enough to build a proper senior record, scoring four league goals, with his most productive campaign coming in 2018-2019, when he scored three times in 17 league appearances. That spell gave him the platform for the move to England.
Malacia later moved to Manchester United, where he wears squad number 12 and is valued at around £7m by Transfermarkt. In 2025-2026 he has made three Premier League appearances, so his role has been limited rather than central.
He was linked with a move to Celtic in January 2025 and again in July 2025 while at Manchester United. That interest sits in the background of a career still defined far more by his Feyenoord years than by anything since.
Malacia remains a Netherlands international left-back with a strong grounding from Feyenoord and an unsettled recent spell at Manchester United. His next step will matter if he is to turn early promise into a steadier senior career.
