Celtic’s road to trophy triumph in the SWPL Cup couldn’t have been tougher – a Glasgow derby against Rangers in the quarter-final, a clash with four-in-a-row cup holders, Hibernian, in the semi-final and then a meeting with Glasgow City, the dominant force in the Scottish women’s game over the past 15 years, in the final.
