Ross Doohan, born on 29 March 1998 (age 28), is a Scottish goalkeeper who came through a fairly typical route for a player trying to turn promise into regular senior football. His busiest league spell before Celtic came at Ross County in 2020-21, when he made five appearances.
Celtic signed him from Dundee United in June 2021. It was a short spell rather than a defining one, but it did bring a Premiership winner’s medal, along with a Premiership runners-up finish attached to his time at the club. For a goalkeeper in that part of the squad, the job was always going to be more about readiness than profile.
Doohan left Celtic in July 2022 for Tranmere Rovers. Away from Celtic, his honours also include a Scottish Cup. His current market value is around £213,000, according to Transfermarkt.
His career has so far been that of a Scottish goalkeeper building his way through senior football, with a brief Celtic spell, a move south to Tranmere, and a modest but real collection of medals along the way.
